MusIL (Museo dell'Industria e del Lavoro "Eugenio Battisti") falls within the category of those museums that have their origin in their territory and describe its industrial development.
MUS.IL has wide collections of items and, above all, documents, in particular from the XIX Century. These documents come from the main promoter of the Museum, the Luigi Micheletti foundation.
MUS.IL was born thanks to an agreement between the MIUR and the city council of Brescia, with CILEA as a technological partner.
The project had two main goals:
- helping people to understand design and the building of the museum, by following its evolution;
- making available, gradually, the documentation owned by the museum.
Among the most important sections of the museum, we can mention the following:
The sections Home, Concept, Info, News, Events and Exhibition. They introduce the museum itself and its main cultural activities.
The main exhibits are: XIX century, cinema, machines and Brescia: a territory and its industry.
Two large areas frame and display most of the heritage of the museum: collections and documents. These areas contain indexed data of the library, ...
