CAPI2007- Computational Fluid Dynamics

By: Segreteria Tecnica
15 October 2007 - 16 October 2007 High
Performance Computing in Italy, conference
Location: Milan, Italy
Via Durando, 10 - Edificio PK III piano - aula seminari

The High Performance computing in Italy (Calcolo ad Alte Prestazioni in Italia - CAPI), organised yearly by CILEA since 1997, is an important opportunity to discuss super-computing issues in Italy.
It is also an opportunity for academic researchers and industry to meet and exchange information.

For the 2007 edition, the chosen topic is computational fluid dynamics, a field where high performance computing has allowed remarkable scientific and technological advancements.

In computational fluid dynamics, high performance computing has found a natural applicability. The equations necessary to model fluid dynamics phenomena are so complex that only large computing resources allow to obtain results in a reasonable time.

During the CAPI there will be several talks about aerodynamics in both automotive and aerospatial applications, internal and external, fluid dynamics of pumps and other hydraulic devices, diffusion in porous media, fluid-structure interactions, interactions in chemical reactions.

There will not be talks about applications in medicine and bio-engineering, which will be the topic of the 2008 editions of the conference.

The conference will be held in Milan by the Politecnico di Milano, via Durando 10, building PK - III floor, seminar room.

Short-abstract submission deadline: 25th july 2007.
