You will be in charge for the following tasks:

• CFD modeling of Hull Hydrodynamic studies using open-source CFD code (OpenFOAM)
• Verification & Validation Data Production of OpenFOAM under a wide range of models
• Benchmarking tests in High Performance Computing (HPC) Environment

You will work in close contact with the members of the Luna Rossa Challenge 2013 design team in charge of the hydrodynamic CFD.

Your Profile:

• MSc or PhD in Fluid Mechanics, Mechanics , Aerodynamics or Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Physics
• In-depth knowledge of Hydrodynamics and significant background in CFD modeling
• Familiarity with OpenFOAM
• Familiarity with Meshing tools (SnappyHexMesh, Pointwise or equivalent)
• Familiarity with C++ Programming, Python Programming, knowledge of PyFLU and PyFOAM will be a plus
• Familiarity with Parallel Computing and HPC facilities and tools
• Familiarity with Linux OS
• A good knowledge of spoken and written English, Italian would be a plus
